Wendy Kane, President and Founder
Wendy's twenty-five years of success in Event Marketing, Sports Management, Corporate Consulting and Television Production has made her one of the most sought after Executives in the industry. Her passion for the business, her dedication to her clients and her ability to exceed expectation, are three characteristics that are evident in each initiative she touches. She takes great pride in what she does and treats every business endeavour with the same level of commitment and respect, no matter how large or small.
Prior to launching, Wendy Kane & Associates Inc. in 2003, she spent ten years at IMG Canada as Vice President and Director, overseeing "Stars On Ice", "The Sahara Cup" (international cricket), "World Figure Skating Championships", "Drive for Gold "(Hockey Canada Olympic Program), "The Canadian Professional Figure Skating Championships" in addition to developing strategic marketing plans for CIBC, HSBC, Chrysler, Toyota and Sears Canada. Her areas of focus were corporate integration, television production, event staging, advertising & promotions, corporate sales & servicing as well as venue, athlete and financial management. Wendy has developed strong relationships with not only the corporate sector and venues in North America but also all major TV networks – CBC, CTV, TSN, Global, FOX, NBC, ABC, BBC, NHK and Star TV.
Wendy's passion for the Event & Sports industry started while working at Skate Canada, right after graduating from the University of Toronto. It was not long before she found herself at Lang & Associate – spending eight years developing corporate marketing programs and managing the Canada's first national figure skating tour, "Champions On Ice" following the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
Wendy has always said the greatest rewards in business have come from the people she works with, the productions she works on and the people she meets in her travels. Today, she combines all her rewards in a company appropriate called "Wendy Kane & Associates".
